Made in Meva Ceramics
“
I
needed some branding to start my new ceramic business, starting with a logo and
business cards. I already had a name plus a social media handle, and I wished to
keep and incorporate these.
I initially meet with Josh to discuss my needs. He was extremely professional in his approach to his work. He was happy to listen to my needs and thoughts and went away to work on them. When we meet again, he had taken on board all that we had discussed but lead me in different directions to express the ideas in different styles. He came back quickly with design options and was more than happy to tweak, alter and change things to make sure I was completely happy with the final designs which capture the essentials and ethos of my work.
Josh was extremely easy to work with and nothing was too much trouble. He’s delivered a great overall service and product.”

“Josh helped me so much in developing my brand logo, I had an
idea in my head, but the end product was so much better than I could ever
envisage - he hit the brief bang on and more- I’m absolutely delighted with my
logo!
Josh was so attentive, and nothing was too much trouble even when I was pondering the tiniest detail, he was so patient and a pleasure to work with - would absolutely recommend him and his work 100%!”

‘I found Josh to be both professional and personal throughout
the design process. The brief I gave came with plenty of creative room as I was
yet to have a specific idea for my logo design. Josh came up with a beautifully
simple yet informative design and throughout the different design stages was
passionate and driven to create something wonderful.
Josh was open to change and would keep me informed and updated, I found this particularly useful in knowing how everything was coming along. Overall, I found Josh and the design process to be honest and creative, I would thoroughly recommend Josh’s beautiful designs and creativity to all.”

“Josh came to us last year for a work placement [2016] at Distorted. He very quickly grasped a wide-range of our activities and settled in well to our working environment.
Josh has a real passion for music, audio and radio, and this was more than evident with the quality of work he turned out while spending some time with us.
Josh worked on a number of projects for us, from administrative tasks like maintaining our radio syndication database and work with our audio distribution platform, to more creative challenges like writing presenter scripts and shadowing full production sessions making radio shows and podcasts for a number of high-profile electronic music artists. Josh also took part in our weekly staff meetings and contributed some great ideas.
We enjoyed having Josh in the office and wish him lots of luck and success in the future.”

“As the stage manager for a youth theatre group, Josh Thaker was my deputy stage manager. It was an absolute pleasure to have Josh as part of my team and he was incredibly valued and reliable throughout every production.
Between Christmas 2015 and Christmas 2016, he was involved in 5 productions, each of these had between 10 and 70 children in the cast and were demanding in both a physical and emotional sense. At the centre of Josh’s role was organisation, and the ability to be both authoritative and approachable. The children were extremely fond of Josh and respected him, however it was evident that he was in control. Josh is excellent at communication, which was important as there are a variety of personality types in the theatre.
When Josh joined, he did not have any stage-managing experience, however Josh was prepared and able to learn, he was not afraid of asking appropriate questions and the result was that he was able to take the lead. He was happy to do whatever job needed doing and on one occasion spend several hours repairing broken props, this was not in his job description, but he knew it would help the production run more smoothly so was happy to do it.
As a stage manager I maintain high standards and it is rare that I will entrust my role to anybody, however Josh proved he was capable and on many occasions, I was able to take a back seat, leaving the theatre in Josh’s very capable hands.
Should you require any further information please feel free to contact me.”
